About Us

Mission Statement
The mission of the Lehigh Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau is to develop and promote the Lehigh Valley as a destination for leisure travel, meetings, conventions and events for the area's economic benefit, while enhancing the visitor's experience.

Organization
The Lehigh Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau is the designated tourist promotion agency for Lehigh and Northampton Counties. It is a membership organization supported by membership dues, a local hotel tax, a state tourism matching grant and advertising and cooperative programs.

The bureau is governed by a board of directors, which consists of 22 voting members and three ex-officio members with voting privileges. Candidates from Lehigh and Northampton Counties are proposed to the board of directors by a nominating committee and elected by the membership. The board of directors elects the officers of the organization.

Bureau activities and promotional programs are initiated and directed by standing committees, the chairs of which are appointed from the board of directors by the president.

The Executive Committee, including LVCVB officers and standing committee chairs, is empowered to act on behalf of the board of directors to enact bureau business. It also acts as a personnel committee and is responsible for employing the president. The president is responsible for hiring personnel, managing bureau business and finances and allocating staff to accomplish the goals and objectives set by the board of directors.
